sup peps in the webs this is just a motion sketch. basically I like sketching and animating more than any other art form, and sometimes I just like to get this things out for warmups without having to worry too much about cleaning up or keeping it consistent and/or properly timed with key-frames.. i watched this video of a guy animating using a video layer in photoshop, so i wanted to try it... ill be doing this more often. :) Juan Correahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13518159983123310387noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-787004878930335766.post-70042512392168522122014-10-23T13:46:00.001-07:002014-10-23T13:50:13.485-07:00Humans of Space

the differences between these two other than the size its that.. top is PNG bottom is JPG and that they turned out different from each other even though the Photoshop file where I exported them from is the same.

lesson is.. upload PNGsJuan Correahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13518159983123310387noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-787004878930335766.post-31206360833659453352014-05-18T23:31:00.000-07:002014-05-18T23:33:38.595-07:00Some of my practice stuff.

Just learning how to get better at my own stuff.. I should reference more artist and styles that I can incorporate in my own drawings; makes sence, it will get me better faster, and efficiently... Its in all the books too.. but I am not very interested in that, well, that hard way it is..

Certainly I have my influences here and there, if only I look them up when I doodle something that is inspired. like the punk-ish girl in this post, I though of Jamie Hewlett renegade characters, while trying to do something similar to the look Mike Huddleston has with his linework. even I intended to imitate what I like from them, still did not look them up. I should try it just to experiment. Juan Correahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13518159983123310387noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-787004878930335766.post-58263791231958594692014-04-20T23:25:00.000-07:002014-04-20T23:25:50.546-07:00Psylocke.. why you so cool..

So here is a painting a been working on.. It started as a study but listening about comics lately and stuff decided to paint psylocke. A had trouble knowing when to finish. And I am sure I can do more to it (more highlight here and there, tangents, perhaps better anatomy in the arm) but I learned and practice what I needed and should move on to the next. enjoy!Juan Correahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13518159983123310387noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-787004878930335766.post-62155399443459035162014-04-16T10:37:00.001-07:002014-04-16T10:42:09.085-07:00Animation alternative? mmm….

I was checking this animation program called CrazyTalk 7, and if done well, it can do a lot for you.. mainly works for faces looking straight ahead at the camera. But I tried it on this old drowning of mine.. silly but it kinda … kinda.. works.
Fairly quick sketch I just finished.. I have many thing inspiring this. just wanted to get it out. Note how the color difference happens between both.. I have seen artist comments on this issue, so I though I should demonstrate and also give a solution, which is using PNG (top) format to get the right colors, where as JPG (bottom) may not upload with the right colors.

Played around with some colouring techniques and shading using blending layers and options in photoshop.. but I am still interested in really knowing how to get the right colour and tones. stay tuned for more progress on that. May even show some process.

Something worth Halloween, been wanting to make a Zombie drawing during this challenge, finally got around to it.. shoutout to The Walking Death show, which keeps inspiring me to draw these in my sketchbook.

This is a coloring style that I rally enjoyed, not too time consuming, great for cartoons and even more realistic drawing. The character, call it a twisted fan-art of Kang (The simpsons) or just highly influenced, but its a design that works for me so, ... enjoy

Day 17 and still behind, there are definitely some influences of styles in this drawing, non that I could particularly point my finger at since I didn't research any, but though it would be fun to adapt to a more stylized look and here it is my attempt.Juan Correahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13518159983123310387noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-787004878930335766.post-35702322740091436882013-10-19T19:42:00.001-07:002013-10-20T07:58:43.198-07:00Day 16 drawing

This entry is just another lighitng study, whithout any blending modes or dodge tool or any of the photoshop tools that help do this sort of lighting effects. didn't focus much on the design, and still got lots to learn.
