Project 3 - head and hands

seems like most of my posts have been all digital... i ll try to get that fixed by next week... meanwhile... this piece is our digital tool class 3rd project... it wasn't that fun to do.. took me more than it should have taken me for what it is, cuz there was a lot of photoshop malfunctions and i was not too content with what i was doing so there was a lot of last minute changes.... dont know if i am happier cuz i am done or with the end result. but well, hope u lads like it. keep an eye for more stuff to come

I am so happy that i manage to get away a few hours to work on something that has nothing to do with school or my house , its a non-paid comission (luv the irony) caricature of my friend. drawn in paper, colored in photoshop... so there ... stay tuned for more post... c ya all

well i am back to school and and assignments are filling my itinerary, this fish for exemple was done my digital tools class. i was pretty happy with it.. tried some new things ands stuff. and for not having any reference it pretty believeable!!

Octopus - digitial work

I decided to create this octopus just for fun and to be productive since i was bored. and i guess becuause of my facination for them. took me about 3 to 4 hours. done it photoshop, used a few options from the image tab at the top of photoshop and the history tool.

here below is an image of the illustration before any effect was done. i though twice before showing it because it may take away from the final piece coolness or it may make my final piece look cooler

this is probably the most rendered picture i've done... preety happy with it, cuz i see the likeness well balanced out with the exagerations and the beliebality.. altough i see a lot more space to improve..

my first attempt on doing a well rendered caricature, unfinished... may post a finish one leter. don't really find it believable but its still funny sooo theeere....

one the the last projects from my layout class. It was done a while ago now, but since is the biggest layout i've done so far i though it would be nice to show... took a buch of hours to finish... and it was nicely reawarded with a nice mark... i am looking forward for more of this stuff.

vampire bat-man transformation

my final character design project, i been meaning to post this up for a while now. i got to admit is one of my best peaces. spent so many hours on it (days) and i am happy whith the outcome, cleaning up really was a b%$ch but i am happy and is done, it got me a good mark and it made beer taste better the week after, (you figure).

office-helper

this is Joe an office-helper with a low self confidence but curious, sort of a igor but in the office, this is just an idea for character design for the next semester, i ll keep creating more. i think the sketch version of the guy its more appealing in my eyes, but its always better to present stuff clened up so here it is. any suggestion would be gratly appreciated. i find this clean up procces a bit tedious, specialy is you had to resize you image in the middle of the procces :s ...

brute!!!

this is my brute - spent about good uncontious 3 to 4 hours, mostly cleaning it up. and donewithout a previews sketch, wich really didn't help becuase i didn't know what to look for and just went for whatever my fingers would push things to. really like it. I think is a character with potential to be fully rendered, at least in paper.

This is one my digital tools assignments, altough the layout for the assingment was different, here i just wanted to show were i took my drawing with some computer assistance

El Diablo. One of my character designs, it is one of my fave. I wanted to keep the shading simple and i stayed away from the fading so it stays like an animatable character .

trying out the tablet - and practicing photoshop. hope this is the start of a new digital world for me, cuz i enjoy it, altough i got to admit i flunked at drawing in different layer because this is done in only one, and it took a while cuz of the uni-layer approach.

the line art was given to me, and all i had to do was the coloring, but i found it really fun to do, looking forward to post more of these.
