motion sketch

sup peps in the webs this is just a motion sketch. basically I like sketching and animating more than any other art form, and sometimes I just like to get this things out for warmups without having to worry too much about cleaning up or keeping it consistent and/or properly timed with key-frames..  i watched this video of a guy animating using a video layer in photoshop, so i wanted to try it... ill be doing this more often. :)

sketched, cleaned and lit.. done.

the differences between these two other than the size its that.. top is PNG bottom is JPG and that they turned out different from each other even though the Photoshop file where I exported them from is the same.

lesson is.. upload PNGs

Some of my practice stuff.

Just learning how to get better at my own stuff.. I should reference more artist and styles that I can incorporate in my own drawings; makes sence, it will get me better faster, and efficiently... Its in all the books too.. but I am not very interested in that,  well, that hard way it is..

Certainly I have my influences here and there, if only I look them up when I doodle something that is inspired. like the punk-ish girl in this post, I though of Jamie Hewlett renegade characters, while trying to do something similar to the look Mike Huddleston has with his linework. even I intended to imitate what I like from them, still did not look them up. I should try it just to experiment.

Animation alternative? mmm….

I was checking this animation program called  CrazyTalk 7, and if done well, it can do a lot for you.. mainly works for faces looking straight ahead at the camera. But I tried it on this old drowning of mine.. silly but it kinda … kinda.. works.

Goblino

Fairly quick sketch I just finished.. I have many thing inspiring this. just wanted to get it out. Note how the color difference happens between both.. I have seen artist comments on this issue, so I though I should demonstrate and also give a solution, which is using PNG (top) format to get the right colors, where as JPG (bottom) may not upload with the right colors.

Enjoy!!
